Application for Membership
Full Member or Associate Member?
You can become a Full Member if you are disabled and employ personal assistants. That gives you the right to vote at AGM etc.
If you are non-disabled, or a disabled person who does not employ personal assistants, you can become an associate member. As an associate member you will receive the code of practice and other information SPAEN produces, but you will not have the right to vote.
Full and Associate Member Conditions
There are certain conditions which SPAEN feels it needs to impose on Full and Associate members.
- Members employing PAs agree to adhere to SPAEN's Code of Practice.
- Membership does not give Full or Associate members the right to use SPAEN's name to promote their work and personal objectives by implying that SPAEN approves their projects or bids for funding.
- Members, individuals or groups must not present themselves as spokespersons for SPAEN under any circumstances without expressed agreement.
By accepting membership you will be deemed to have agreed to the above conditions. Any breach of these terms may lead to the Executive Committee reviewing, and possibly terminating membership.
Fee
The membershp fee is currently under revision.
Data Protection Act 1998
