The Scottish Government
The Scottish Government continues to provide grant funding to assist SPAEN to meet its core running costs.
SPAEN is very grateful to the Scottish Government for their continued support.
Through the SDS Capacity Building Programme, the Scottish Government has also awarded SPAEN, in partnership with Respite Now C.I.C funding to develop and pilot the Peace of Mind programme.
North Lanarkshire Council
North Lanarkshire Council has commissioned and continues to fund SPAEN to provide an “independent SDS Support Service”.
Esmee Fairbairn Foundation
The Esmee Fairbairn Foundation continue to support SPAEN’s outreach and engagement work with carers across Scotland.
The Robertson Trust
The Robertson Trust has provided matched funding to assist SPAEN’s SDS Outreach Project. The project aims to promote self-directed support; the 4 options and encourage people to exercise choice and control through the provision of information and practical support and guidance.
The project will be focussing on areas of Scotland where the uptake of Options 1, 2 and 4 under SDS are lower than the national average.
